Tara Fox – BACP Registered Counsellor – Relationships, Young People, Adoption Issues, Mindfulness Practitioner
Educator in Counselling Training and Personal Development
Thank you for considering me as a source of help and support for you or your family.
Friends and family are often not the best people to talk to about our concerns as they are too close to us to be able to help. I have been working as a relationship counsellor since 1999 and so have a huge amount of experience to help you. I also bring my knowledge and experience from working as a college counsellor and have specialist training in counselling young people. I have specialised training in adoption counselling with Barnardos qualifying me to work with adoption issues.
Leeds Metropolitan University, who asked me to develop their professional counselling courses for them, values my experience and knowledge. I am significantly involved in delivering counselling training for the university and for the community including local businesses/NHS practitioners.
My passion for helping families to lead a happier life has led me to train as a Mindfulness Practitioner. Since I have completed the Professional Qualification in the Therapeutic Use of Mindfulness I find I can help clients to live more in the moment, to let go of negative thoughts and to keep a sense of humour. I have found all of this leads to less stress and more practical happiness.
I am also a mother of two so I understand the challenges this can bring.

Daytime and Evening Appointments are available. You may email me, text me or call me and I will get back to you for an informal conversation about what you need. I appreciate it is hard to make the first contact but people feel reassured once they have spoken to me and this sets people’s mind at rest before the first meeting.
